Has worked on a variety of wells ranging from; multi-well shallow gas programs, 4500m deep critical sour gas wells, under-balanced long reach horizontal multi frac and coiled tubing drills to conventional vertical wells. An expert authority in managing drilling operations, Hugh has worked with companies including: Dome Petroleum, Amoco Canada, Crestar Energy, Gulf Canada, Conoco Phillips & Mahalo Energy before joining Tristar in 2008. Provides effective leadership that uses the most current technology to deliver cost efficient, timely projects in a manner that is both safe and regulatory compliant.

Stephen is experienced in both field and office settings with a results oriented drive to perform in a cost effective and timely manner. Responsibilities include; program design and cost estimates for completion, workover, suspension and abandonment operations within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Analytical thinking and the ability to assess situations objectively and critically are among Stephen’s positive contributions to the Tristar team.
Over 8 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry, over 3 of which as a Technical Professional working in Fracturing Optimization and Production Enhancement in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities included all aspects of programming and design, in many areas of Western Canada and a wide variety of oil and gas wells ranging from southern shallow gas projects to deeper wells in the Grand Prairie area.

A Professional Engineer with 39 years of drilling and completion experience throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Doug’s experience includes both engineering and operations in deep foothills, critical sour gas wells, extended reach horizontal drills and managed pressure drilling. He has also been responsible for simultaneous operations on multi-well pads and batch drilling projects. Extensive experience in well lookbacks, audits and area reviews provides well planning that enhances mitigation of drilling problems and implementation of new technologies to reduce overall drilling costs.
