High-Capacity Water Storage Pit Completed in Kakwa Region

Tristar recently completed the construction of a high-capacity 160,000 m³ water storage pit in the Kakwa region, supporting future development and water logistics for our client’s operations. Spanning 18.5 hectares with dimensions of 150 x 160 meters and a depth of 5 meters, the project involved the excavation of over 270,000 m³ of earth. To ensure long-term integrity and environmental protection, the pond was lined with 48,500 m² of 60 mm HDPE geomembrane and non-woven geotextile liners, delivering a durable and secure containment solution.

The project was designed using Auto CAD and executed with precision through machine controlled equipment and drone-assisted quality control surveying. This integration of technology ensured an efficient build with optimal accuracy and minimized environmental impact. Tristar’s commitment to high-quality execution and innovative construction practices positions us as a trusted partner in large-scale infrastructure development — delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and prepare our clients for longterm success in the field.
