2024 - New Technology Implementation

Smart Completions Systems Trials

In 2024, Tristar Resource Management successfully executed multiple wellbores utilizing innovative “repeatable port technology”—a next-generation completion method designed to enhance efficiency and flexibility in multistage stimulation. These systems feature identical frac sleeves and activation darts (or collets) that are electronically or mechanically programmed to selectively shift the target sleeve. This design enables a theoretically infinite number of stages or clusters while preserving the internal diameter of the wellbore—eliminating the limitations imposed by traditional ball-drop or plug-and-perf
systems.

Tristar is proud to have played a key role in the deployment and ongoing advancement of this emerging technology. Our team’s involvement has contributed to important learnings around system reliability, operational best practices, and optimization opportunities. As the industry seeks more streamlined and scalable completion solutions, Tristar remains committed to supporting innovation that delivers measurable value in both performance and cost-efficiency. These projects underscore our commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement in well completions.
